Adjustable prosthetics are the future direction for prosthetic technology. Patients are seeking out ways to adjust their prosthetic when their limb changes and prosthetists are taking note of this demand. Many patients report their limb goes through changes during the day and being unable to adjust can lead to skin irritation or even tripping and falling.
Persons with recent amputation will experience drastic changes in their limb volume over the first year. Using socks is one way to fill in the missing volume, however too many socks can reduce total contact and therefore a proper fit. iFIT's patented buckle system allows the wearer to adjust their socket whenever and wherever they are. All sockets are further modifiable by the prosthetist so they can accommodate even large changes in volume.

The Role of Earlier Receipt of a Lower Limb Prosthesis on Health Care Costs and Emergency Department Utilization
A study recently published by Miller et al. found that receiving a prosthesis within the first three months post amputation was highly beneficial in the following:
The iFIT system can help get patients fit faster. iFIT’s stability, strength and durability allows for immediate and early ambulation.

During these challenging times patients should not have to wait longer for a prosthesis. Fit with minimal visits, and fully adjustable by the patient the iFIT prosthesis is perfect post amputation. During the first year, drastic reductions in volume occur as the limb matures. The iFIT system helps shrink the limb down and maintain a secure fit.
We understand the challenges that the amputee community could be facing. Our devices can help encourage and meet the needs of those with a compromised immune system. iFIT has a solution that can be fit virtually anywhere — even in a patients’ own home.
Give those with limb loss the mobility they deserve and the freedom they expect.
With our device, you can fit persons with lower limb loss more efficiently
with less cost to your practice. Immediate fitting in your patient’s home,
nursing care facility or other locations — can be done
by one prosthetist quickly and safely.
With iFIT, meet your patients where they are
and give them the freedom they deserve!
Persons with limb loss are already under stress and anxiety. We have an option
that can help them. A person can be fit in just under 2 hours with the iFIT system
which also minimizes exposure to you and your staff.
Respecting all CDC and local infection control measures, and using the appropriate PPE
(Personal Protection Equipment), you can help those who need a prosthesis now.
Let’s move together — a new way of practicing care.
For people that feel like they are missing out on water activities, iFIT has a solution. You can wear the iFIT prosthetic in the ocean, lakes, pools etc. Just rinse with fresh water once finished, and use with appropriate water foot.
For heavy water use we suggest having an iFIT dedicated just for the water.
